There are three kinds of people in this world: Those who go out and make things happen Those who sit and watch things happen Those who wonder what happened Since you’re reading this article about general contracting your pole barn or post frame building, there’s a pretty good chance that you fall under the “those who go out and make things happen” category. Sitting around and waiting for things to happen isn’t a part of your personality. You’re well aware that the only way something is going to get done is by going out and doing it yourself.

The million dollar question when building a pole barn is, “How do I know what size pole barn I will need?” It’s not uncommon for this question to come up during almost every conversation we have with our customers...and rightfully so. Figuring out what size you need can be a tough decision, especially if you’re thinking ahead about future building expansion.

Often, we have customers who call our office with the same pole barn questions. Frequent inquiries include: What is the average cost per square foot? Who should I use to finance my post frame project? How can I customize my building design (e.g., color combination and wainscoting)? Which structural components are covered by your pole barn warranty? Or, “I don’t live in your primary service area, but can you still build my structure?” The list goes on and on. We applaud our customers for asking these questions. In fact, we want them to ask us questions.

Do you have more “toys” than you do storage space? I’m not talking about children’s toys either. I’m talking about your hobby toys. Like that bass boat that you fish on every summer, or the newest Polaris Ranger that you and your kids drive around every fall. Maybe it’s in your plans to purchase a snowmobile, but there’s just one problem. You’re running out of adequate storage space. It’s bound to happen...maybe you just didn’t think it would happen as soon as it did.
